This song tells of yet another catastrophic flood that has struck Appalachia. In late July of 2022, devastating floods ravaged Eastern Kentucky killing scores of people and destroying homes, churches, businesses and infrastructure. Across the nation, newspapers carried a photo of 4 young smiling children who perished in this flooding.
